You can find Wingate Hotels at www.wingatehotels.com . Here are some potential ideas for things to do and see over the reunion weekend. Pro Football Hall of Fame and Museum (less than an hour away in Canton), The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum (less than an hour away in Cleveland). A combination ticket can be purchased that is good for both. The Cleveland Indians at Jacobs Field. They might be in town that weekend (less than an hour away). Golfing. There are (2) 18 hole public courses and (1) 9 hole public course within 7 miles. Aurora Farms Premium Outlet Mall. 50+ stores less than 5 miles away. The Nautica Queen and Good Time II dinner/dance cruise on Lake Erie. I'm in the process of getting information. Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area. Hiking, biking, nature trails. 15 miles away. Charter boat for a 1/2 day of fishing on Lake Erie. I'll look into this if there is sufficient interest. Normally the boat provides all the equipment. You would need a non resident fishing license. There are 2 very large Amish communities in the area. Many shops and restaurants which are Amish owned and operated. Very interesting experience if you've never been in Amish country. I'd like to have everyones input on the ideas I've thrown out and other ideas/ suggestions you might have. Labor Day weekend is usually one of our nicest holiday weekends of the summer. That's it for now. Call and make your reservations! September will be here before you know it! Mike Coss |
